Brett Williams, the founder of Falls Creek Distillery, is a well-known local who absolutely adores Falls Creek – one incredible village that transforms into a top-notch ski resort during winter. You can even go mountain biking and take a refreshing dip in Rocky Valley lake when the snow melts away.
Brett, being quite the enthusiast when it comes to spirits, had a little hobby of distilling. He couldn’t help but notice that Falls Creek was missing something special—a local distillery, to be exact. So, after doing a ton of research, he got his hands on the historic Falls Creek Ticket Box. Back in the day, they used to sell lift tickets to skiers there in the 60s and 70s. Cool, huh?
With a few tweaks and modifications to the old hut, voila! Falls Creek Distillery was born. We’re all about quality. We use a copper reflux still to distill our products, putting loads of care and attention into creating the best stuff you can get your hands on.
And that refined logo with the skier on it? It’s inspired by the vision of those fabulous female skiers who tore down the ungroomed Summit Run back in the day. They sure knew how to have a good time, enjoying a well-deserved drink by the fireplace after a long day on the slopes.
But here’s what makes Falls Creek so special—its water. Yep, it’s pure and comes straight from those majestic mountains. We use it from start to finish in the distilling process, along with the native Alpine Perry berry. This combination gives our gin that distinct Falls Creek flavor you won’t find anywhere else.
So, kick back, relax, and enjoy our fantastic gin. And as you savor a glass or two, take a moment to appreciate the classy pioneers who shaped Falls Creek into the amazing place it is today. Cheers!
